DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS AN ATHLETE
I am a well rounded recreational CrossFit athlete, Not the strongest, the most skilled or the best engine but enjoy pushing myself beyond what I think I am capable of doing. I always find it rewarding to finish a workout knowing that I pushed when I could have stopped. I value fitness in my life and look forward to my training sessions each day, my style is scrappy in that I can put myself in that dark place for a long period of time and recover quickly. I do not like to stretch or mobilize even though I am learning the importance of both of these as I get older.
WHAT CAN MEMBERS EXPECT IN YOUR CLASS / COACHING STYLE
Members can expect a lot of energy in my classes, I like to make the hour fun! You will also be pushed to perform to your highest potential(safely) all while learning a thing or too. I like top 40 music mixed in with some EDM to get everyone a little Fired Up!
THE GREATEST LESSON YOU'VE LEARNED IN THE FITNESS INDUSTRY.
I leverage a fifteen year career playing competitive hockey as a goalie, so not only was the position physically demanding but it taught me the importance behind being mentally tough. I carry those lessons forward today as a recreational CrossFit athlete. All of the workouts are different and require you to be mentally tough in order to push through that point that arises in every workout where you want to slow down or stop.
